Rowing to the Moon
The Independant, has an article about a relative of Cromwell's that thought you could launch a ship and row to the Moon! Interesting thing is, that it took just a few years, 1660, to debunk his ideas. So they came up with some real science to prove him wrong, in such a short space of time. Other thing is, his ideas are no crazier then, than quantum science now. How long before someone proposses we sail to another planet through a worm hole? Barmy, but we have the incentive to do it.
