Torture is a necessity in Christianity
Without torture, there'd be no martyrs. Christianity thrives on the idea of dying for god and profess the "willingness" to suffer any offense or pain imposed upon them in order to show the strength of the faith in Jesus and / or God. American Christians have become so soft--they don't know what torture is, so it is easy for them to rally around the idea of bringing that language back into vogue and ministering the vile acts upon others... hmm...well, so little Americans remember.
