A Lunar Escape

The hard white milky moon hung in the impossibly blue sky of late afternoon, out of place I would say. Gone were the normal accompaniment of chrome plated sparkling stars piercing hard holes in the darkness that invade my mind and make me wonder what beings walk their planet’s surface? The thin veil... Sign in to see full entry.

Drink to life.

Bits of ones life remain at this moment in time, like water drops on the inside of our story’s pitcher. As Fate slowly sips life’s time through its lips, will the drops left be vinegar or honey? Sign in to see full entry.

Snow Miracle

Sitting on a snow flake spinning, spinning, down, down. Bumping through the clouds twisting in the breeze. Blistering cold, I’m sure I will freeze, so fragile is my perch I don’t dare sneeze. Icy limbs below me geometrically branch forth, spokes, spreading without a rim going wherever it wants on a... Sign in to see full entry.

Word blizzard.

Until a few minutes ago, this page was blank, the tree that fell in the forest when no one was around. Then I cam along and plastered words all over it like some ravenous beast loving the sound or it’s own voice caring not for nature’s silence. The words drew pictures that none could see outside of... Snow scape

Wet clingy snow wraps around each branch, the tree is a sculpture in white. On the hillside fir trees slump under the weight of their new white overcoats huddling together there is no warmth it is winter. Sign in to see full entry.

Feet slogging as if in lead shoes get home watch the gloomy news. One channel trying to find a new American Idol. The other... Sign in to see full entry.

The mountains come out of hiding.

The fog wafts gently to the sky where it goes to play with the clouds as sunset draws near smearing dabs of color on the gray puffball canvas. The mountains stand, revealed. Their leader tallest among them clasped deep in wintry embrace. Snow advanced down the sides but did not make the valley where... Sign in to see full entry.

Darkness descends.

Inky Slinky Black of night. Entertwines ‘round the earth bound on the backside. Hand not seen even in front of face, the night crawls it has it’s own pace. Dark Sooty Velvet the night as it wraps around and nothing can be seen is the night soothing or mean? I lie down in bed it’s all around no place... Sign in to see full entry.

The sky’s on fire.

At the end of the day, eyes weary, wanting rest turn a tepid gaze to the west where a searing sight unfolds as suns last rays rip clouds spilling their blood that ignites, burning, churning, stirring the sky with a pallet of fire as darkness tightens it’s grip. Sign in to see full entry.

Musings from within.

Who is this person that stands in my shoes? And finds whimsy in the evening news? Someone is inside my head always looking out. Just along for the ride? Or in control? Maybe just casting doubt? You are in there, watching everything I do, helping me remember how to tie my shoe. I hear your voice... Sign in to see full entry.
