Whaddaya Mean, It's Going Up?!

The cost of a postage stamp is about to rise again, to 42 cents for a first-class letter. For some reason, the postal service thinks it can stay in business if it keeps raising rates while continuing to give crummy service. I don't get it. Here's the thing.
