Summer Days

Twirling around in my front yard In the mid summer sun Outstretched arms Spinning around and around the merry go round Running near the crab apple tee That never tasted very good to me Playing tag and watching bumble bees Going to the corner store Coming home and going once more Playing dress up with moms high heels Bright red lipstick and silly hats Pink sponge curlers rolled up in our hair Living life without a care Telling secrets and chasing dreams Wishing on stars that fell from the sky...
