Melting

Frostbitten heart waiting for the thaw Slowly melting, Numbness subsiding Waiting for the day there will be no more hiding The puddle on which the ice is melting is nothing more than tears Fears that confront me need to be given an opportunity I glance to the future I must take a chance But fear and pain have been my friends for so long It’s hard to let go, I just don’t know He may be perfect he may be the one But that’s what I thought of the other one The one who held my heart in the palm of...
