Like raindrops that hang on to the lip of the leaves Weighing it down towards the ground Stretching it to it’s limits And yet more rain burdens it’s outstretched limb Beating it further down One hit after another Wind blowing furiously to add to its pressure But resilient is that leaf for it holds on Strong and fierce Insistent on holding on to the branch That in turn holds onto the tree Rain subsides and it resumes position Bouncing back into full form Yet stronger and more nourished Radiating...
