The District Prepares

A lot of work is going into the preparation for Tuesday's inauguration of Barak Obama as our new President. Is "being there" at a historic event important? I would argue that being there physically is not important, but it is important to be there in some way as a witness to history, be it in person, via the internet, seeing it on television, reading about it in news media, or hearing it on the radio. I wonder if the expense in preparation could have been better used had more people decided not... Sign in to see full entry.
