We anxiously Await the Jackson Trial Outcome . . .

But why? What is this fascination we have for celebrity news? Is it really news we can use, or are we all just voyeurs of the rich and famous? I hesitate to call the news workers who conver such stories journalists. They are, in my opinion, not worthy of the title, "journalist." Much worse and much more pertinent is going on in our country that is not covered as heavily. Shouldn't real journalists be covering such rather than the circus of Michael Jackson's trial?
