The Pope is Dead, so what item of importance hits the press?

A royal wedding! Who cares? Why is that news worthy of the front page, of hours of coverage and of pseudo relevance? Let's get the media to know that we want news that actually affects our daily lives, investigative reporting (not of the gossip sort, but real investigative reporting), and stories informing us of the facts related to crime, business, government, fiscal issues, and other stories that impact us.
