Hummers?
I think it's really weird that a great big (ugly) vehicle and a cute little bird share the same nickname. It figures that a humming bird is sometimes called a hummer and I know the vehicle is really a Hum-vee, but what does that stand for? - My first guess would be humongous vehicle. But the humongous part is probably wrong. I just wonder why anyone needs a car that is almost as big as their house and only gets one inch per gallon.
