THE DAY OF ATONEMENT (YOM KIPPUR) AND THE HUMAN ANIMAL.

The idea of the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) is the cleansing of sins, thus becoming “at one” atoned, with God. On this day, sins are placed on two goats.
