Back-biting is a habit that we carry with us from our milieu's such as
family, school Church, social spaces, etc. into the public arenas. And vice-versa. If it's becoem a trait with us, then it is so much a part of us that it doesn't kow boundaries. So many people who bitch about their wives are seen doing the same thing in other spaces such as work-spaces, public...

When I seek help from people who are otherwise vulnerable,
I have to be conscious that I would be putting them in a situation by virtue of their vulnerability on account of which they cannot refuse to help, even if they are not in a position to help. Hence the request has to be placed in a way as to give them a door to refuse. Or else what difference...

The way we relate to domestic helps in our homes is a lot shaped by how we

So somewhere in the course of the dialogues, I reflect this same final solution-fascist mentality. The personal is political. Our outlooks at the personal level...

If I am an attention-seeker at home, I begin to seek the same kind
of attention in public life. Unless of course my family recognises this trait and treats it. No, attention-seeking is not an ailment. It's natural for any human being to want attention. What is under discussion here is the undue attention-seeking. If this is not nipped in the bud, it is harmful to...

Compromising on the corruption of the spouse saying one can't expose him
since he's one's spouse after all, would amount to compromising on one's politics of being anti-corruption. The personal is political. What say?

If I believe that women have the capacity to take decisions, this belief
must translate into my politics at home in how I consider the views of women, and in what I publicly articulate are my views on the role of women in public life. There cannot be a discrepancy between the two, for it won't sound real if I tom-tom that women should have a place in public life and I...
