It’s in our nature to care for others To put everyone’s needs before our own We worry about how others feel And bear a guilt that doesn’t belong We give up our lives making sure everyone Else is happy, but forget about ourselves We make ourselves an easy target A dumping ground for woes The hardest thing for us to do is be selfish By putting our own needs first If it came down to them or us It would be us who’d die of thirst We all too often blindly mistake need for love For it’s the need that...
