A Mothers Words

I wrote this poem some years after my mother passed, reflecting on my teenage years, how I was, how I am, what I've learned, my own children, and the mother I am today because of her. I guess we all have complaints and resentments stemming back into our childhood about how we were parented, but in the end, as we mature and have children of our own, hopefully, we understand.
