Trying to think of something to write That’s not based on a recent fight Don’t want to air who’s right or wrong Tired of singing the same ol’ song Tossing around the wonders of nature The birds and the bees, flowers and trees Or maybe a rant on political misdeeds Brown or Whitman’s recent leads My mind is blank, can’t think of a thing But the same ol’ lyrics of the songs I sing Still trying to think of something to write An idea to move me and turn on a light As I sit in the dark keeping an eye...
