Bob Dylan concert
Saw Bob Dylan live at the Moore Theatre in Seattle last night. Everyone wants to know how it was, but I don't really know how to answer them. It was just Bob Dylan, on stage, right there. His voice isn't as great, he changes all his songs to being almost unrecognisable, I have no idea if he played any new stuff, it was just fun to hear it. They sounded good too. Just hard to explain the style. Blues-rock I guess. He played some that I recognized, especially Don't Think Twice. Anyway, thanks dad!...

Another Day
It was beautiful today in Bellingham, Washington. The sun was out in full force, shining on the bay, something I'm still not used to seeing here in the Pacific Northwest. For most of my life the sun has only shone for a few weeks each summer. It lends an entirely different feel to the entire area, having sunshine and warmth. I ended up being forced to walk around 2 miles from downtown back to home along a path running next to the water. It winds through Boulevard Park about 3/4 of the way...

Coconut Meringue Pie
It's so good. Just took a bite as I started writing. Maybe I should have pie every time I blog, I'll write more often! Start driving taxi in the next week or so. Got the last bit of paperwork picked up today. Had to get a new UBI number (Unique Business ID) from L&I, a new taxi permit from the City of Burlington (really geeky photo) and a driving record from the Department Of Licensing (long wait and $10 for a blank piece of paper). Back From Australia
I got back a week ago. Was jet lagged for a couple days. Moved up here to Bellingham, living with my mother and my girlfriend, crammed in a little 1 bedroom apartment until we find a bigger place. I feel weird about living with my mother, again, especially at 30, but it's just my ego that hurts. It's the quote "Those who matter don't mind, those who mind don't matter". Where Am I?
I'm here, and it's now. Ironic, yeah? That's always the answer to that question. Yet, more specifically, I am at my mother's apartment in Bellingham, Washington typing on her small laptop as twilight fades and she sits in the adjacent room watching the Daily Show. We just arrived back from viewing a movie at the local Pickford Cinema, a very thought provoking film called Food, Inc. I found myself surprisingly emotional after watching it, and somehow, it brought me back. Like a fog lifted. Hard...
