Energy Level and Success

I had a very inflated view of myself when I was younger. I was fairly smart and so I had great ambitions for myself. The problem is that success depends more on your energy level than your IQ. My older brother who is genuinely very successful and became rich as a result, can get by on four hours of... Sign in to see full entry.

Sights on the Road

Ever see a semi pulling a travel trailer? Maybe he doesn't want to have difficulty going over mountain passes? Perhaps he's a retired truck driver? Sign in to see full entry.

Useless Anger

Have you ever been in a lane and had drivers honk at you when you are turning left and if you went as they wanted to you'd have an accident? Run over a pedestrian? Hit the back of the car in front of you? Run a red light? Hit a car that's parking? Have you ever been in a crowded parking lot that is... Sign in to see full entry.

The Grand Canyon is really grand.

I hope you wondered why I wasn't posting. but if you weren't that's okay. I am in Williams, Arizona near the Grand Canyon. You think that something you've heard about and seen many pictures of--wouldn't be impressive. It is, however. The canyon is amazing. After spending one day, I want to go again,... Grandma blues

My daughter in law is a great mother. I was a marginal mother. I only reprimanded them when they got out of hand and mostly just sat and watched television with them. I wasn't very hard working. They spent a lot of time coloring. My daughter in law and son reprimand the children all the time. So... Sign in to see full entry.

From survival to the best day in a long time.

Yesterday my goal was survival. In the morning, I was waiting to find out if a friend was actually going into treatment. He did make it but he took his time. Then in the afternoon, I went to witness the will of a friend who is in the hospital and dying. He was unable to stay awake, so we have to... Sign in to see full entry.

The thing I hate about shopping

is having to get dressed up, with my makeup perfect to go. So I don't. I feel intimidated by all the well dressed and well groomed women that go shopping, but it doesn't stop me from shopping. Nor do I cave in and fix my hair and put on makeup. I save that for when I'm in a good mood. Sign in to see full entry.

Shopping Therapy

Once in a while the things that cheers me up the most is buying new clothes. I'm traveling to Arizonia where the temperature is thirty degrees warmer than where I live, so my clothes are not cool enough. I haven't been anywhere warm for two years and have changed sizes since then. I am very anxious... Sign in to see full entry.

Big Mouth

One of my housemates came to church today. He complained about what happened to him last week when he went and my husband and I weren't there. He sat in front of a little boy who was making a lot of noise. He'd cough deliberately and then go out and bang the door both ways in and out of the church.... Sign in to see full entry.

Shopping Walk

I haven't done anything physical for a week. So I suggested that my husband and I take a walk. Since we also had errands to do, we parked the car at the book store and walked to the other stores and then walked back. The only problem with that kind of walking is that it is too slow and my bad ankle... Sign in to see full entry.
