When May Arrived

The arrival of May was always an exciting time for me when I was in school. Back during my K through 12 years, the arrival of May meant that the end of the school year was a month away. When Dad Couldn't Resist

Dad has always had a sharp sense of humor. When I told him about one of Mr. Purlio’s driver’s ed students yelling "F--- you" at him, it was only natural that Dad would find a way to amuse himself. Most Were Late

Only four of us made it back in time after the break in which Mr. Purlio said that late arrivals would be marked absent and would have to complete the course. This was out of about 30 students. The Threat

Every class session with Mr. Purlio saw us receive a 15-minute break. I had mixed emotions about the break. I was not a social guy.
