Yesterday, I ate some of the most delicious Middle-Eastern pastries baked by my friend’s Mother In Law, a former Egyptian whose family had been cast out of the Egypt in the mid 1940’s because they were Jewish. This reminded me of other Jewish friends with Arab country heritage - Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisa – who were thrown out when Israel was established.
