Read anything good lately?

I just finished reading Innocent Traitor: a Novel of Lady Jane Grey. It was probably one of the worst books I've read in a long time (thank goodness I checked it out of the library!). Anyways, it was by Alison Weir, the woman who writes such wonderful nonfiction. Her attempt at a novel fell flat, though. It read too much like nonfiction. It was also told in the point of view of several different characters, but each voice felt the same. Also, I felt that the character of Jane was too mature--she... Sign in to see full entry.

So here's what I chose...

The green desk diary. I found that when I put it in my purse, it did end up fitting. In other news: I'm still prepping for my interview tomorrow. Also keep in mind that a lot of places get hundreds of resumes, especially for... Sign in to see full entry.

Well, I almost thought that today was Friday the 13th...

But then I realized I'd gotten my internal calendar wrong. What is it about Friday the 13th, anyways? Does it strike anyone else that thinking that day is bad luck is kind of, well, odd? But then again, what superstition isn't? Sign in to see full entry.
