First of January, first day of the New Year... I woke too early, 4-ish, into a cold house, with the outside temperature close to 0 F. I ended up dragging the down comforter to the living room couch, and sleeping there until daylight crept in. It creeps slowly on an overcast morning like today. In that warm coziness I watched the final episodes of the 7-season THE WEST WING, and then waited for Charlie to come over to make crepes.
