THE SUGAR-PLUM TREE EUGENE FIELD ~~~~~~~~~~ INTRODUCTION In this poem we read of a wonderful tree that grows in the town of Shut-Eye. The sugar-plum tree is filled with all kinds of candy, but it is so tall that no one can climb it. The only way to obtain its delicious fruit is to ask the gingerbread dog to bark at the chocolate cat.
