Love

This will be the last of the 'honeymoon' photos I will point out as such, but as we were walking the Superior beach as day gave way to night, we met these four teenagers. We took some time to talk with them as they were new to Superior Lake and its beauty. When we told them we had just gotten... Sign in to see full entry.

Crisp Point Lighthouse

This is the lighthouse the infamous Edmund Fitzgerald was desperately trying to reach. Once the ship could get around Crisp Point, the storm that was rocking the waters, everything would have been safer. They came up fifteen miles short, and it sank almost straight out from the lighthouse. I've... Sign in to see full entry.

This was taken in 2021 at Alger Falls, just east of Munising. Now I weigh about half of what I did then! Sign in to see full entry.

Sunset Sailing

Another honeymoon photo. This is a large inland lake, roughly one mile from Lake Superior. The sunset was spectacular! Sign in to see full entry.

Tuesday, July 30, 2024

This is another 'honeymoon' photo. We were on a tour boat that ran along the Pictured Rocks shoreline. The rock has six-inch to fifteen-inch layers, each representing 10,000 - 25,000 years of time. Note the one tree is on a mini-tower of rack that is very fragile at its base. Rangers tell us it has... Sign in to see full entry.

Sunrise On Superior

Another 'honeymoon' shot. Usually, I would not be awake at 5:45 am, but since we were camped along the big lake, I had to take the shot when I saw this sunrise! Sign in to see full entry.
