This kit is getting up there in size. I was about fifty feet away from it as it was looking for mice and frogs when I took this shot. I was playing 'hide-n-seek' with this guy before I was able to get a dozen or so decent photos of him. He is a 'barred owl,' a fairly common creature in the north. He was about twenty inches tall. Despite his droopy-looking eyes, he was wide awake! Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

This is a favorite of mine. I wish the left side of the photo was 'cleaner,' but the right side made up for it. The three houses you see are all over 125 years old and still in remarkable shape.
