Time To Chill...

After the temperature reaches a certain level (usually about 95 degrees) I loose interest in eating a bunch. Between the heat and the humidity, SC is a dieter's paradise. You can't gain weight if it's too hot to eat. But you have to take in something and you have to stay hydrated and kool aid and... Sign in to see full entry.

The last thing you want to do when rushing to prepare a meal is to try to figure out the best thing to add to something plain to make it something fantastic. These recipes fall into no other category that I can think of thus we are calling them strange little nibbles. Don't Waste Them on Wishes!

Dandelions are just about the most commom "weed" in existance. They grow in nearly every climate and they have the distinction of being one of few plants that are entirely edible. The most commonly used part are the leaves which are similar in flavor to endive. For best flavor you should harvest... Sign in to see full entry.

Unusual Combinations for Uncommon Results

I guess that I am more adventurous then most, culinarily that is. So I often make dishes that stretch the imagination a bit. But I will tell you what I tell my "babies"...before you turn your nose up, try it first. Even when I do weird stuff with "unusual" ingredients, I never hear a complaint. So... Using Your Noodle

There is nothing like eating homemade pasta. And it really is so simple that anyone can make it. Many people think that you need a pasta roller and expensive equiptment but I have been making my own pasta for years and I have never used anything but my hands, a rolling pin, a knife and a fork. These... Sign in to see full entry.
