My Name is Virginia but most know me as Mike's Goddess. When I was first writing here a several years ago my husband Micheal and I were pretty much writing "The Accidental Gourmet" together. But time passes and life moves you. Micheal had a heart attack and passed away in November 2005. It took me quite a while to get back on my feet but again... but life moves you. After a nearly two year courtship I married my hero, Tom.
I call him my hero because we were friends (had been for over 12 years) and when Micheal died he came and rescued me, brought me home and then he refused to let me stop living or to get lost in my grief. And then he loved me.
I have been writing professionally since I was 13. I have written on conceivably every topic you can think of and I am lucky that my vocation is also my avocation. Along life's journey I have also worked as a substitute teacher, disc jockey, stand up comedianne, phone psychic (I got fired for telling the truth) and a phone sex operator (I quit... the customers had no imagination).
I am a an extremely spiritual person who has found herself on a new journey of understanding and compassion. I am an independent minded, bleeding heart liberal ... registered democrat but I am really thinking about joining the "Lou Dobbs Coalition" of independents.
Let's see...is there anything else? Oh yeah...its hard to get me to hush...
