An American in Rio, first day of school, beehives and Norse twins

The Miramar Hotel waiter knocked on the door and brought in a huge real silver tray of fresh baked bread rolls, fresh butter resting in crushed ice, silver pitchers of coffee, hot chocolate and cold fresh squeezed orange juice. There were slices of papaya and other fruits and lots of glasses and mugs. I slept in a room with my three sisters and we were still living out of our suitcases.
