YOU ARE VERY WISE IN UNDERSTANDING Dad's feelings. Sometimes there really isn't any thing more we can do for someone, and it is difficult to have to realize that. Assisted living may have to be the answer!

It truly is a terrible situation. Unfortunately the outcome is either going very tough on them or you and dad as well as others. It's important to make the decision that affects people the least. You have to be careful of burnout and the possible affect it could have on your own health ultimately!

I suppose in a way it is like an extended family subconsciously. When one is young one can be more objective as one has to provide answers that an older person might find a job to accerpt.
