Hi Sam, it's lovely to see you again! As always, you hit the nail on the head. Although as always, there's more than one way to interpret. Hope your holiday was safe and spent with loving company.

Re: C C T
Hi, and thank you for reading my poem. I appreciate your visit! Yes, there's some sadness in it... I'm working on some new stuff that isn't so melancholy.

Re: Sherri G
Yes, I think you're right about that. Funny thing is, I often over-share in daily life. Go figure!

Re: Good Morning
Hi Goldiec, thanks for stopping by again! Yes, it's different ways of understanding the same situation, but all happening internally. That's what I love about writing poetry, that inner exploration which long prose can't usually convey.

A lot going on in this poem. In the beginning it felt like purging one's soul, then reflection, then longing and concluding in finality of revelation laced with great truth. I liked how I was able to set the cadence for myself. I could go slow with reflection, moderate with interpretative perception or haste to find the conclusion. I chose the first one! Happy 4th to you, too!

Re: Re: M…
Yes, it makes perfect sense. In fact, to me , writing ethereal and/or amorphous poetry is often the truest form and expression of of poetical art, which is not to minimize the more formal and complex types and styles. Thanks for the compliment on the handle. Yours is a good one as well.

Quite interesting deserves more than one, read. The only trouble it could bring back a myriad feelings of sadness. 🦋

It is hard to show those parts of ourselves that aren't so pretty to those who are closest to us. I believe that everyone tells a few lies to hide the demons. It is human nature after all.

Good Morning
I find this to be very thought-provoking. It makes me stop and think about life from many different perspectives. I love that. It would take a writer to bring these thoughts to the surface. Thank you for sharing your work.

Re: Thanks Sea Gypsy
Yes, some things can only be articulated in ethereal poetry. Does that make sense?
By the way, I like your handle. It conjures images of vast mystery.
