Shamasehar ....
As a latter stage Octagenarian, it is so much more fun reading books than getting ready and going out. Between reading books and the computer with friends and relatives the days pass so quickly there's hardly time for cooking and eating. LOL

Re: Sherri....
I really do miss riding the bus downtown, the big old buildings that I loved where I paid my bills, the fancy movie houses now gone, shopping downtown, etc. It was a great time to be alive.

Re: FSI....
From my point of view it seems that all of life is nothing but changes and so many things I cannot even remember as part of my life.

Good morning. A 1,200-page book is a monster, especially if it is a hardback. Talking about your married life and bills reminded me of how similar to you that I did those things. Today, I pay everything via the desktop computer. It only takes a half hour to get everything done. I appreciate the ease, but I do miss those good old days.

A lot of things have become easier to handle with the online payment option available now.
Enjoy reading the book.

Re: Sam444
That didn't work for very long. By the time we had four little boys in a little over five years, Mom had a station wagon. LOL

I ordered a book for my daughter not realizing it was large print and it eas immediately return fir regular print. I commend you for making it work with only one vehicle. I've always had my own vehicle. I don’t think I could share one, lol!

Re: C_C_T
Old Dictionaries are so much fun....especially if they had belonged to my Dad. He could not help himself but to doodle In them, draw pictures of word meanings or make cute wise cracks. When he passed on, his family fought over them for possession. He gave one to Ribcage and now I have it. It sure brings back memories of his fountain pen and bottle of ink.

Taps
Once long ago I bought The Oxford Shorter English Dictionary. >£5 I remember I struggled home with it, that must have been eighty years ago. I still look through it occasionally .🌺

Good Afternoon
Taps, I do prefer to pay my bills online. It's not so time-consuming. I also manage to keep my receipts in my folders in my email account. I really appreciate that. I hope you have a good day. It's cooler here today.

This reminds me how our ways of managing the daily dozen has changed over time, from the manual methods, Friday paychecks deposited, etc., to touching a few keys and handling it all electronically. Who knows how much it will change over the next couple of years...
