Sometime in life one can relax the schedules which we follow all our lives... raising kids, running a house hold, working etc...

Well, my first thought is that Longfellow was a pretty meaningful author. So if he was successful. Who am I to knock him? One thing I know very well from living is that there is no guaranteed way to life as a writer. Creativity is like water. Its shape is created by the container it is housed in. Thanks for that post.

It is a good thing that you think that because it seems I'm that I'm going to fall asleep whenever I need it. I just woke from an unintended sleep and had received an unimaginable photo. Son Daniel who has worn facial hair (beard and mustache) for more than 25 years has become 35 years younger by shaving it all off. I love it. It makes me think I am younger than I am.

I think it's important to like yourself. It's just good for you overall. I have always kept a schedule. It seems to keep me focused. The main thing when it's all said and done is that you lived your way and not some preconceived idea or version of what anyone else thinks. Although, like yourself, you are a cool person! When I think of you I think of your interactions with the statues in your city. It was such a refreshing thing to see!

Dear Taps, you must be kinder to yourself. You've been there, done that at top speed for most of your life, giving, teaching, helping and learning. You've earned the right to take it easier, to lollygag a bit - that's when your ideas can come tiptoeing in from the outer limits of your writing mind, it's not just what our parents would call lazy.

That is a great Psalm to remember...I know of a few people who are retired and they do not have a schedule per se.
