I have a brother that is a die hard race fan, too. His sons say they watch in anticipation of wrecks. Madness to me. I'm with you, the race is too long.

I completely understand why your family members enjoyed it so much. I am a total fan of racing. We rarely miss an event, either televised or in person. The Indie 500 is a spectacular event that fuels fans as they watch the speeds and high risks that the drivers take for the win. My hubby just finished working OT so that his co-worker could attend the event. He shared videos with us that are amazing. I loved the helicopters flying low over the race. Happy Memorial Day to you and your family.

Having been the parents of four boys in five years, car racing (NASCAR, Indy500, and Le Mans in France and others) was always a big deal around our house. Now I avoid the races. They make me sad that I have outlived the majority of the menfolk in my life. But I certainly do remember the good times.

As a kid, I had a boyfriend who was a racing fan and a member of a pit crew for a race car owner - his best days were when he got to take a test drive or when his team won. I didn't much care for the roar of the engines and the thunder of the crowd. I wonder sometimes whatever happened to Fred.

Hello dear I must live in a dream world . I did not even know that it was a special day.
Goodness, I looked it up and there were all kinds of bizarre actions taking place from
cheese rolling and of course lots of racing. It as been unusually hot here, my helpmate
was down here early and has watered all the ground. (a relief). Perhaps I could show some flowers later if I can still remember how to do it and find a decent camera.
I do hope your hubby is not in any pain. I often think of you.

Dearest Aba,
I do love cars, but not racing cars for me. 😄 Still, I did have a red sports car which I loved to drive. And for those who gave their all, my deepest thanks and a prayer. Thank you! 🏎️🙏🌹💐

Re: TAPS
Dearest TAPS, your pain is something one cannot ease and for that I’m deeply sorry. But I like to think that from on high there was a little smile meant for you as he watched this very exciting race’s ending. Take care, dear lady. 🌹

I Always watched NASCAR races with Ribcage (Son who was very interested in Blogit and Blogit writers). Now that he is gone (passed away) it is difficult for me to watch the races because he loved them so much.
