I remember May Day as a child in Alabama. It was a big deal. Hope your daughter feels better. I love May because my Son. Daughter and my grandson were born in May.

Looking back the Maypole was quite tall I suppose most boys did not take that much interest, but it was different from school which was not so dusty.🌺

May Day when I was a kid was when we hung small baskets of flowers on the doorknobs of neighbors and aunties. It was a day for a big family dinner, or a picnic if the weather was right. Not as much fun as an Easter egg hunt, but a good day all the same.

Good morning. Go, Ducks! I'm sorry that your daughter is not feeling well. Sore throats are the worst. I hope she feels better ASAP. I looked at some of the May Day photos online. They are either of protesting workers or girls walking in circles around the maypole, celebrating flowers and spring. It sure doesn't feel like spring in my area today. It is chilly, but we are expecting a rise in the temperatures this week. I am crossing my fingers.
