I applaud you for thinking of detailing.

Business is business and you need to make money. If not with him, then with someone else!

I think if it is a selling point it only makes sense to keep it going. I imagine there's plenty to learn about detailing. I detail my own car but it takes forever. There must be trade secrets that make it profitable and less time consuming. Hopefully something can be worked out so there aren't hard feelings abounding!

I think in business, it is the right thing to be compassionate and understanding etc with employees But the nature of a business is to make money and if your employee is not wanting to pull their share of work then You are entitled to say Goodbye goodluck and not even discuss with them what may happen when they are out the door.

It is hard work, but there is good money to be made in vehicle detailing. I know that my sister pays $100 for her car and it only takes the cleaner about two hours to finish the job. That's $50/hour. She lives in Delaware. Our popular detailers make less in my area, but not by much. Depending on your company's take, Jason would be smart to stick with detailing if it is only 10%.

Good Morning
FSI, I believe everything will work out just the way it is supposed to, because you and your family are so dedicated to the business. I think your customers respect your family and know you are trustworthy and keep your word. That is very important in the world we live in today. I never realized how much work goes into running car washes. I think your family would do well in the laundromat business, too. I think there's a lot of money that can be made, but you do have to figure in the cost of water and maintenance on the machines. I had a family member who was dating a guy who was in the laundromat business, and he made a fortune.

FSI....
There are certainly a lot of job changes these days. Everyone seems to want/need different than they have. It seems there is not much stability or permanence these days. A hundred years ago my Grandfather Jelinek was a coal miner all his life and my Grandfather Sanders was a cafe cook and new writer.
