Little gypsy kids had a tough time, Some of the girls grew up and married Americans
My dad was a blood brother to a pure gypsy and nearly walked the walk.

At the village School one of the Head teachers would pinch the girls arms, it makes me
want to kick his ass, Or his Ghosts.🌺🌺

My father said when he was a boy the teacher caned his brother harshly.
The next day, his father went up to the school and told the teacher that if any of his boys needed caning, he would do it himself, or the next time, he would cane the teacher.

It's horrible when kids are marked. I worked in a school system my entire professional life and there are teachers who did not belong due to their stereotyping of some kids. That in turn led me to starting a school for at risk youth. Those kids were some of the smartest people I've known!

We had a little boy when I was in Primary school the teacher picked on him. He had a terrible hair lip and cleft pallet. If he didn't know the answer to a question he would get hit over and over on the hand by the teacher...one teacher school so we all saw it.

I have heard the horror stories about teachers being rough on students. Corporal punishment and children do not belong in the same setting. Sadly, it does happen in those brown places.
