Good Evening

Sea Gypsy, thanks for sharing this post.  I have things I would change if I could, but it's not to be.  Somehow, things always worked out in the end.  I look back on my life, and the way I see things now differs from how I used to think.  It's funny how life has a way of changing us.  I hope you have a good night!

I think I would have done the same as you did. Just presuming they would be there. My daughter and I have talked about with her presuming I would be there without having to officially invite me. Your mom was special. Not making a big deal of it and lending a hand offering pearls of wisdom. I can appreciate you wanting a do over because your love for her is like still waters, DEEP!

Yep, we all have those moments of I wish I could have a do-over. Such as life. It's hard to think about other people's feelings when you yourself are going through a mass of emotions and not in the moment of thinking outside of the box. I'm happy to hear that it all worked out in the end.

Our lives are filled with  many do-overs...It was an honest mistake that of which you made.

When my sister and I were born, my father was the only "guest' so to speak.

I so appreciate your post. I remember once it was popular to hear folks say I wouldn't change a thing. I would say to myself, it must be nice. The fact is, none of us is perfect. What is special about your post is. That you recognized your error. This shows heart, love, and consideration. Unfortunately, not everyone has the guts to say I'm sorry.

I can relate. We've all done things we'd like to do over.
