Perfume......

I'm always happy when the scent of perfume takes a different direction and moves away from me.  The fainter its odor the more pleasant it becomes.

Re: Sam

Well, I am glad that you feel better than you once did. Sometimes I worry when I see children pushed around in low carriages. I had a tall pram and was barely affected by the occasional rude horse.🌺

There is a woman on the trail I frequent with super strong perfume my nose does not like...

Re: Kabu

Perhaps the tiny bloomers cast spells. Hope you are O.K.🌺

Re: Good Evening

Wow! That was strict. Perhaps he felt that you all were scented enough already. Quite warm today, we had to use the hosepipe to water the outdoor pots.🌺

Re: Ciel

Perhaps he was imagining the future. Or was it too clever for we mortals?🌺

The tides of hope and alarm; waves, approaching vulnerability, then receding... Is the tide coming in or going out? How long before it switches course again?

My mom told me once that my dad would go to the beach, park on the sand, and never get out of the car. I guess he wasn't up for risking the tides.

Good Evening

CCT, thanks for the smile this evening.  I would have to say no to garlic and ice cream.  One of my bosses over the years was allergic to perfume, and we were not allowed to wear perfume in the building.  I hope you have a good night.

I can understand why you are ready to run.

Such a poor taste in perfume and clothes means you would be driven mad inside of a week. Run rabbit Run!

You never fail to have a way with words. A clever and creative one you are. Garlic and ice cream only taste good for so long before it eventually wears on the taste buds with its underlying pungency.

This poem has many facets to it. I liked the line about the perfume sticking. I have asthma and gaudy smelling perfume does stick. I've always wanted a term to express how my lungs felt with inhaling the scent of perfume. You have solved a life long dilemma for me. Thanks. Other parts of the poem were very descriptive but some of the innuendo was striking for me!
