We do grow up and part of that is wanting to see our youngsters become less involved with self....which is natural in the young, and see more of what, "I" can do to make things better for us all.

Of course you are spot on. We do adapt through experience and sadness and of course love. Negative things crop up at times we have to deal with sadness. You explain it much better than I can. One can feel your words like petals opening.🌺🌺

Sea-Gypsy.....
About the time you were writing, I was climbing into my bed for a rest after a party here. What I thought was going to be a short rest ended up being ten hours later and everybody gone. But it was fun and everyone was happy. So now here I am up again long before it is showing the light of day. I just wear out too easily these days.

Re: sam444
Thank you for the generous and lovely comment. It is very much and very humbly appreciated. As for my writing, it is my heart that writes, I just add the words. What delightful compliments your children gave to you! That’s an honor. My dad always called his mother “Ma” as well. 🌹

Re: Good Evening, Goldie
You have had a lot going on, that’s for sure. This time, it’s better if you let someone else host. I admire you for getting all those health issues taken care of. 🌹

What a fantastic post. I pass along things as well. There are many times my daughter says she does the things I did when she was growing up. To think, I didn't realize she was paying close attention. She remarked on something i.was doing, not sure what it was now, but her brother remarked, "You can learn a lot by watching Ma." It was sweet that he called me Ma and still does to this day. Your post stirred so many memories fir me. All I can say is you write very well and you touch your reader deeply! Kudos!

Good Evening
Sea Gypsy, this is a wonderful post. It sounds just like the life I have lived. I see my grandchildren with such bright ideas, and I pray it works out for them. I used to make elaborate meals for all holidays with more food than we could ever eat at one meal, but everyone got to take home lots of leftovers, and the kids got to take home their favorite cookies, cakes, and pies. I'm afraid that, between my knee (from an injury) and my dental procedures (which were quite hard to deal with and keeping up with my hearing tests and cleanings, and getting my cataracts done, my family will have to take over this year. I'm exhausted from all of this, but I will also say I'm thankful I've had all the procedures done by wonderful doctors. I still don't mind doing everything, but that will have to wait till another year. I always pay for the expense of the dinner, but this year I will have to have someone else plan it. I hope you have a good evening, and I'm praying you have a wonderful Easter. As always, my post is a little too long.
