Go with your instinct. There's Uber, Lyft or a cab available these days. Just do not go alone with him.

Give him a ride if he feels safe enough and you are in a vehicle with other people. Otherwise, if you feel uncomfortable, let him know that your plans for the day make it impossible for him to ride with you.
