Sweet. This is a lovely image that reminds me of my own relationship with my Poppop. I used to ask him a thousand and one questions about the past, his military life, and his childhood years. Once he was gone, I was so thankful that I took the time to drill him. Otherwise, that part of his history would have remained unknown to me, my daughters, and my grandkids.

This is wonderful, Julynn.....
This so reminded me of my Grandfather Jelinek who was Czech and never learned very much English. Only enough to get by. Most of the time that he was not working in the coal mine, he would play bohemian music on his accordion in the basement where it was quiet and where he made his grape wine..
