Amazon is an amazing site for locating any and everything, including a comfy cushion. During the COVID, the area I live in had nursing shortages at every medical facility within a 30-mile radius. I'm glad all of that mess has been sorted out, and we are back to fully staffed hospitals and clinics.

I saw a while ago that the hospitals in my home state of Maryland have the longest wait times in the nation.

I didn't realize that a seat cushion could cause such damage to a person's skin. I think I've lived a fortunate life in that I never had to experience that kind of misery or be responsible to keep someone else free of such damage. Lucky thing for Jim you're watching over all those dangers.

Good Morning
Kabu, thanks for sharing this post. This information is priceless for older people. Jim is so fortunate to have you in his life. We've had hospitals shut their doors in our area because of money, and people have had to travel farther to different hospitals farther away. We are fortunate to have the Cleveland Clinic, Metro, and University Hospital.

When my Mother was very ill I bought what I think was water mattress. I cannot remember much about it . It was to relieve the pressure on the skin. My neighbors have just come back from Australia. They were both treated in the Hospitals there. They were surprised by the superb treatment . The locals could hardly believe the state of our Health Service they did bring Archie and me a sun hat..🌺🌺

My goodness I've not heard that side before. The work is rewarding but we are only human and thise thoughts that may seem against thr grain should be taken lightly. Everyone has their limitations. Rethink of hospitals as a place to get well but it's just another business in some respects and businesses try to make money 💰!

You are right, the nursing shortage can be overwhelming. And what a great tip about not leaving the elderly in an ambulance or on a gurney for hours after an accident! I hope you have a very calm day tomorrow, dear. 🌹
