Telemarketers do not care what they say. One time, one called about donating to pediatric cancer research. I declined and the telemarketer said, "Are you pro-cancer?"

I agree that is pretty ignorant. After the first time, I simply say no, thank you, and hang up. Don't let them get under your skin.Â

I have to agree with C_C_T on this one. It is senseless to argue with these morons, although I can happily say that I haven't had a solicitor call our phone in a long time.Â

Telemarketers are so.persistent. I got a text to see if I wanted to look into selling my home. I didn't recognize the company at first, I did a search. They were legit. I wrote back and said thank but not selling. Then she asked, it was a woman because she gave her name, if I would mind a answering some questions. I.said yes, then please take me off your call list, then informed her I was blocking her number. Like you, had I been on the phone she would have gotten more than she wanted. It's easier to be composed with a text because it's slower and like I've always said, 'Take two and think it thriugh!' When you get attacked, like today, the heck with ot all and stand your ground!Â

Don't let them get to you, Sweetie.....
It doesn't hurt anyone but you. Just hang up at the first sign of stress.  If they have a legitimacy they will call back later.
