Kabu......

I think I'm glad I live alone at this age.   Waiting on people is not my forte anymore.   I gave that up a few years back .

Good Evening

Kabu, I truly believe Jim should have a health care worker come in a few times a week.  I think it would save in the long run.  It's not fair for you to have to do so much.  I hope you have a restful Sunday.

Sadly my sister's husband just sits in a chair all day. I suppose it is dementia . One thing he does not ask for much. I don't know what she would do  if he fell .  She is ninety. and quite near to breakdown. One thing he does not ask for anything, but is slowly getting worse. Women do seem to have a lot to put up with. You must try not to get depressed.  🌺🌺

I had one hubby who thought it was my bounden duty to pick up his socks after he took them off while sitting in "his" chair watching TV. Of all the things he did to tick me off, not picking up his socks - and he was able-bodied as I was - was the most irritating. He just took it for granted that was my job. Whole 'nother issue than when one is very ill and needs tender care, but in either case, a girl needs to feel appreciated. Jim's a lucky boy. Broken heart

I can only imagine how tired you must be. A spoiled kitty cat is one thing; a large adult male is another. Jim is a real handful with all of his medical and personal needs. You should definitely have a home healthcare worker tending to his needs a few times per week so as you can get a break.  Good luck, and hugs!

It's definitely good to have Jim do some things for himself...Enjoy the rest.

It's very frustrating when people think we are their personal servants. You need to consider having someone come in to help him understand that his quality of life would improve dramatically and his outlook if he would do more for himself. Complacency has no value fir people, it can have such adverse effects on the mind and body. I'm going to pray for understanding for Jim. I have a small tidbit for that you will see later today on my facts blog: YOUR TIME IS YOUR LIFE---GUARD BOTH!!! Love you too!!!
