Good Evening

Kabu, I hope you and Jim have a wonderful year!  It's very cold here with lots of snow.  I hope Mr. Graysome is staying warm.  Sadie likes to cuddle up in the blankets on the couch.  I'm glad we are inside.  It's much too cold outside for us.  The temps are down in the single digits.  The snow is deep, and the wind is howling.  This is winter in the big city.  I hope you have a good night.

I had confidence that the year-clock would move on without my personal attention, and went to bed around 10--And that was when the idjits in the neighborhood started setting off big single-boom fireworks, two or three at a time then a pause... then a couple more... that went on until the official display off the top off Pike's Peak happened, and then everyone went to bed. So I was up for it despite my intentions.

Have a brilliant year ahead!

I didn't really notice the change over at midnight - fell asleep earlier, thanks to cough medicine I took.  It's good to read your thoughts on the new year, new beginnings.

That is very sad about the ski resort in Switzerland...Mr. Graysome is eating well, I see.

I like the way you phrased your title. Untouched year with the wrapper still on it. Now that's a fresh way of looking at it. I think I may borrow that if it's ok.  Every day we take the wrapper off of a new day straight from the store of life.

It is a fresh new start, especially when the snow cleans up everything. I am crossing my fingers that this past year's crap also gets a good cleaning. If only we could sweep it into the trash bin. Sarcastic smile

Kabu.....

My year was touched about noon on the very first day with some kind of terrible runny nose.  I don't know where it came from.  I've been up all night sneezing and blowing my nose continuously.  I don't know if it is allergy or cold or flu, but I'll be glad when it is over.

A wonderful post to start the new year. It’s great you got some rest. Graysome is a delight, that’s for sure. A very happy Nee Year to you, dear.

Apparently you needed the rest. I did not realize he was 18. He's been a companion for a long time. I hope the world sees more peaceful times this year. It would be so wonderful to live in harmony!
