Nice cliff hanger at the end! Kudos! I could so relate to 'Back Home'. There were things my parents said as well I thought were one thing but turned out to be another. This entry kept me engaged and that's all I ask from an author!

I think as we age we can  think back more easily but lose the ability to remember where one has put the keys etc. Now you are running around in my mid yes a pretty little but knowing young lady.🌺🌺

I enjoyed your story. I love your reference to little SG, and I like the name they gave her. Mam is a sweet nickname for a grandmother. I found it parallel to my own story regarding my paternal grandmother aka Mommom, who passed in a house fire when I was three. I would give anything to remember her. I look forward to reading more of your "Remember My Mother" stories.

Good work! And so relatable. The whole truth was hard to come by when learning my family story too. More, please.

Sea-Gypsy.....

.....Everything you write is so interesting.   This especially has that power to make a person follow along to see where it is going, and stay with it to the very end.   Love your writing.
