When my dad got his first cataract taken care of, he was amazed at how much clearer he could see. I guess over time when it happens it is not really realized what is lost right away.

Good Morning
Kabu, when I had my cataract surgery, I came home with a list I shouldn't do until my eyes healed. Take care of yourself and remember not to bend over and be sure and spend time resting until you are definitely on the mend. I hope Jim understands that you are recuperating from surgery. I know men can be exhausting at times. I think not bending down was the hardest part for me. I am very pleased with my cataract surgery. I was surprised by all the beautiful colors I could see after my surgery. I hope you have a good day.

It makes me cringe to read your posts (and those of Sea_Gypsy) at how you help your husbands through their lives with health problems in their older years. I think about you even when I'm not writing for you to read. My prayers are always with you. And dealing with cataracts on top of that. You are amazing. Love you Sweetie and pray God gives you strength and the will to do what needs to be done.

We struggled to put on socks for Himself after his hospital stays for sepsis and kidney failure and heart attack and after both of his cardiac stent procedures. I know exactly what you mean. It was so hard because he has big feet and the socks seem so little. 😄 Take care of you right now.

I am sure people are embarrassed but it's also about not being able to take care of simple things! That's why it is so nice to have folks like you help with dignity! Kudos to all nurses!
