A lot of people died young back in the olden days, and infant mortality was high. I am so glad for modern medicine.

Their shared birthdates, one hundred years apart, are quite a coincidence. Families and their traditions were once a very big deal, but time, fads, styles, and ways of doing things have caused the breakdown of many families. The name Margaret runs in both John's and my family, as does the name Jean, one of whom is my new son-in-law.
