Very few of us know how to read the meanings behind what insects do. Butterflies migrate south when winter's on its way and go north again in spring - at least along the Mississippi River and the surrounding area. But since they light on flowers to sip nectar and dance about in a breeze, it's not always easy to know if they're heading north or south.
