I like the way this protagonist (the woman) handles things. Thoughtful, mature, and thorough. Wish I'd been a little more like her back in the day when such decisions were in the offing. And you're right about yesterday, especially long-ago yesterday. Sometimes 50 years ago seem like almost now. Write on!
